This is the day that the Lord has made. Let us rejoice and be glad today!
Psalm 118:24
There are days that you might think or feel you are alone. Whether you live alone or have a family the thoughts will come.
But God says, “that this is the day that the Lord has made…” Take the thought of “alone” and replace it with the “Lord made this day and He is in the day with you”. As you acknowledge the Lord then the rejoicing will come. Peace and comfort that the Father created your day. When you take time to think of Him your circumstances will look smaller. In fact you take the day and all that is in it and give it to your Lord. That is when gladness will come to you.
God gives us permission to rejoice and be glad in each day. We on purpose must give ourselves permission to acknowledge Him, rejoice and be glad in Him. Days come and go and whatever each day brings, remember that tomorrow is another day with different circumstances.
Decide today that as He gives you the day that you give it back to Him and with rejoicing and gladness that comes from him.
Faith will come as you continually trust in His love for you and yours.
Blessings,
Sheila
Whether or not we live alone or have a family there is so much going on in our lives. We must take the time and remember the Word, that today is the day that the Lord has made and we are to rejoice and be glad in it.
We should take time and acknowledge Him. He made the day. He does not cause or create the circumstances in it. But, He is in the day that He made. We then invite His peace, His love, His guidance into the circumstances.
Then, He said for us to rejoice and be glad. As we invite Him and acknowledge Him we become glad, we are not alone in the day. So, not only at the beginning of the day or at the end do we acknowledge Him but throughout the day. We will rejoice and be glad. His promises are sure to us.
God has given us permission to enjoy each day. Now give yourselves permission to enjoy the day He has given to you.
Blessings,
Sheila

Be courageous! Let us fight bravely for our people and the cities of our God. May the Lord’s will be done. – 1 Chronicles 19:13

They rebelled, and grieved his Holy Spirit: therefore he was turned to be their enemy, and he himself fought against them.

Today is a new day. Ps.118:24 “This is the day the Lord has made and I will rejoice and be glad in it.”
Each day I have choices to make; whether good, bad or ugly. Sometimes just getting out of bed is huge for me.
When I see this scripture it helps me to see the day as Father sees it. He made the day, I did not have anything to do with that. I do have choices that I am to make in this new day though.
Deuteronomy 30:19 is another favorite verse. “I have set before you life and death. Choose life.” So as I open my eyes I can decide to rejoice and to be glad. As I choose to rejoice and be glad in my new day, I sense life is coming to me. I remember still another verse. Lamentations 3:22-23 “His mercies are new every morning.”
Now I have a reason to get up, and rejoice and be glad in this day. He has a good plan for me and His mercy, and His love is always with me.
Wow, looking forward to my new day!
Blessings,
Sheila
My God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus.
Seek first God’s Kingdom, and his righteousness; and all these things will be given to you as well. He who didn’t spare his own Son, but delivered him up for us all, how would he not also with him freely give us all things? All things are yours, whether the world, or life, or death, or things present, or things to come. All are yours, and you are Christ’s, and Christ is God’s. As having nothing, and yet possessing all things.
The Lord is my shepherd: I shall lack nothing. The Lord God is a sun and a shield. The Lord will give grace and glory. He withholds no good thing from those who walk blamelessly. The living God, who richly provides us with everything to enjoy. And God is able to make all grace abound to you, that you, always having all sufficiency in everything, may abound to every good work.
