Be Still

“Be still, and know that I am God…” Psalm 46:10

Sometimes the world seems to cave in on you and anxiety, fear and hopelessness set in. God himself is calling you to silent trust in Him and know that He is God – the One who created the heavens and the earth, who gives you life and breath, who loves you deeply and who even sacrificed His only Son to save you from destruction.

When it seems like nothing is working out, when it seems like everything is stacked against you, be calm, be still and know that He is God. He has more than enough, both of weapons and of strength, to preserve and defend you.

Take a minute and calm down. Take in a few deep breaths and turn your heart to the One who holds all things together and is working all things for the good and just sit in that a while.
