Battle

“So humble yourselves before God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.” James 4:7

There is a battle going on for your heart and your mind. The enemy would like nothing better than to take you out and make you ineffective. He will whisper lies to you like, “you’re not good enough” or “you are not worth anyone’s time” or “God has abandoned you”. 

The first thing you have to do is recognize that it is the enemy. The second is to resist him, and he will flee from you. He has already been defeated by Jesus on the cross. The only reason he has any power over you is because you let him. His greatest weapon is his anonymity. Unless you recognize the lies are coming from him, you will believe them as truth. God would never say those things to you.  

It’s time to stand up and resist the enemy and his schemes. Submit to God and His truth, and you will be more equipped to recognize the lies being told to you and stop them from pulling you down. 

You are good enough, because He has made you right through Jesus. You are worth God’s time, or you would not be receiving or reading these words. God says, “I will never leave you or forsake you”.

What lies are being whispered in your mind? Write them down and ask yourself, “Would God say this to me?” If not, you know what to do with it. If you’re not sure, ask a friend.
