“Because God wanted to make the unchanging nature of his purpose very clear to the heirs of what was promised, he confirmed it with an oath. God did this so that, by two unchangeable things in which it is impossible for God to lie, we who have fled to take hold of the hope offered to us may be greatly encouraged. We have this hope as an anchor for the soul, firm and secure. It enters the inner sanctuary behind the curtain,” Hebrews 6:17-19

God’s promises are as good as His divine nature, which is perfect. God gave us His word We can hold on to His promises like an anchor for our souls.

How are you faring during this time? Are you drifting into despair? Are you drifting into anxiety and fear? Have you drifted into frustration or anger over your circumstances? God has made many promises to us as believers. Here are a few you can anchor to today.

God loves you. “For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.” Romans 8:38-39

He will never leave you. “The Lord himself goes before you and will be with you. he will never leave you nor forsake you. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged” Dueteronomy 31:8

You are His. “Do not fear, for I have redeemed you; I have summoned you by name; you are mine.” Isaiah 43:1

You can have peace. “I am leaving you with a gift—peace of mind and heart. And the peace I give is a gift the world cannot give. So don’t be troubled or afraid.” John 14:27

His offer is life. “The thief comes only to steal, slaughter, and destroy. I’ve come that they may have life, and have it abundantly.”
